George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Second Wedding Bash in London Designed by Ammar Basheir

When George and Amal Clooney wanted to have their second wedding reception in London’s Dansfield House Hotel and Spa,They went for the talented interior designer Ammar Basheir, the name behind Bahrain’s most uber-chic interiors including Plums restaurant at Ritz-Carlton Hotel, AlOthman boutique in Bahrain, and most recently ON Motcomb boutique in London. I thought I'd share some photos of the event which I received from AlOthman Team through the interior designer himself.

According to the e-mail I have received, Basheir's debut scenography for an event in London has wowed the crowds with a magnificent marquee that was held by over-sized trees made with hand wooven crystal mesh completely covered in Swarovski crystals. 1000 porcelain Parrots have adorned the garden and the tables, adding a twist to the very much expected from Basheir. Olive trees and arrangements of Camellia leaves left little to the imagination, as a picture was complete of a garden without a single rose. The Giant Ali Baba pots were an oriental detail that sat gracefully in the opulent rooms of the Dansfield House Hotel and Spa. Scroll down for more photos of the intimate set-up.

That Miu Miu Bow!

Found the most perfect polished brocade shoes at Miu Miu the other day! Naturally I loved the flats more than the heels. Featured on the catwalk, these point-toe flats are trimmed with the cutest satin bow and straps. The only issue here is would I be able to get my money's worth and wear it constantly? Honestly I kind of doubt it but I don't care! At this point I'm willing to buy any pair of flats that don't squeeze the hell out of my feet! Besides! They're Miu Miu, I'm sure they'd stand the test of time!

I'd pair it with a preppy sweater and flared or pleated skirt or a pair of cropped pants. You can find similar styles here.

Bang Bang!

It's so unexpected to see a fashion house like Saint Laurent, known for its super feminine design and elegance, to introduce us to this elegantly tough chic cuff bracelet! I spotted it the brand's boutique in 360 Mall the other day and tried it on immediately, Try stacking this bangle with other dainty and chain bracelets for a luxury look.

Beanie Baby

Just a silly pose by yours truly and my shopping partner, fooling around in our soft cashmere beanie hats featuring a ribbed texture and the softest fur pom pom at the top. I'm not into wool hats that much since we live in a warm sizzling hot climate, but I would totally invest in this classic design by Giambattista Valli, spotted at AlOthman. It would come in handy for winter trips with cosy oversized knits and skinny denim, wouldn't you agree?

You can find similar styles here and here.

Missed it!

I'm so bummed out for missing the event hosted by my fellow Bahraini blogger the Overdressed in partnership with UK based online retailer Avenue32 last week! Held at the uber-cool Italian restaurant Oliveto in Bahrain, guests were able to shop designers such as Tanya Taylor, Vika Gazinskaya, Alice Temperly, Vivetta, Antonio Maras, Vilshenko, and more! Oh the damage I would have made to my credit card... count me in for next year's event!

Beautiful in Bottega

It's been a while since I found a really nice pair of shoes at Bottega Veneta's Kuwait branch, for some reason their new merchandise is very limited, and they tend not to buy much from the runway pieces, or at least that's what I have noticed. So I was glad to finally find a pair of Bottega shoes to fall in love with, simply because I love the quality and craftsmanship of their shoes. They work well with my feet and don't hurt. I spotted these exotic skin ankle boots with sassy cut-out details balanced by demure lace-up details. They can be easily worn now and later with ribbed when the weather gets colder.

You can find a similar pair online but in black suede here.

Event: Pinkmoon's Pop Up

Yesterday I managed to pass by Pinkmoon boutique to check out their 3-day pop-up, today's the last day by the way. I was blown away by the selection of Jewelry by New York-based designer Clarissa Bronfman. They also had vintage-like, beaten-up leather bags from designer Khoi Le, which I would snatch up immediately if I was the jet-setter kind as they're prefect for quick trips. They also had the designers of Figue jackets, which apparently sold out one the same day of launching their event. I'd say the jewelry were the stars of the Pop Up, I wanted to buy ALL of the necklaces, check out the details of the charms hanging from the necklaces in the photos below.

Today is the last day of our pop up shop so be sure to pass by, they're open 10am-10pm.

Color Crazy with Peter Pilotto

I instagramed this photo a few days ago of me trying on Peter Pilotto's ribbed wool-blend coat at AlOthman Boutique. I love colors! So this was like the perfect match for me! It's not the wisest investment buy, I know for a fact that come next winter season, I'd be bored of it, but I'm so drawn to it color quirkiness and ease-of-wear. If only it was more budget-friendly, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy it.
I'm not sure if it's still available at AlOthman now, but you can find a toned down version here.

What a MasterPeace

When AlOthman Boutique first received a selection of Moscow-based jewellery and accessories label, Masterpeace in-store, I went crazy! I wanted to buy at least 5 hairbands! It was such a Deja vu moment! It reminded me of the time when I first saw Ninas de Papa's work, previous post here. Thankfully I came back to my senses and settled for these two, who could possibly resist cute little elephants decorating a hairband?!! The only problem with the hairband is that they kind of don't fit my head properly, they're slippery a bit, the elephants one at least, the other leaf hairband has a better fit.

Speaking of Ninas de Papa's, I hope that's not they're last collection, I would love to see what they'd come up with next! Their hairbands were so pretty and don't really break the bank!

You can shop Masterpeace at AlOthman Boutique in Salmiya - Maryam Complex, or online here.

I Want to Live in Madame Mantis

I wouldn't mind moving to Madame Mantis and live there forever if I could! Anyone who has visited this beautiful showroom has likely voiced this thought at least once! Because of its endless selection of home accessories and the most unique furniture, I always feel like that I have to buy something from there even though I don't really "need" to. Like for example this gold covered head sculpture by Kelly Wearstler, which by the way costs a whooping KD 3,000+. According to the sales lady, this piece is introduced by the designer every now and then but they're completely unique, never produced the exact same style. Everything you see in this store is absolutely unique! I try to go there regularly just so I don't miss out on the hard-to-find items, even though I mostly window shop. Check it out if you're doing some home improvements or looking for a gift. Scroll down for some of my favorite things.

Madame Mantis is located in Shuwaikh, close to Al Tilal Complex. The same complex where Caribou Coffee is.
