I love it when readers share with me their out-of-this world fashionable experiences. Recently I have received an e-mail from the representatives of The Eye Boutique, located at 360 Mall. They were invited to the highly exclusive Chanel fashion show for the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013 collection in Paris on 22nd of January. The show had a Gothic theme with a Mid Summer Night’s Dream.
From the rainy Parisian winter The Eye Boutique representatives walked into an enchanted forest, misty and serene. The setup was closer to an ancient theater than to a catwalk, with a low stage, and the seats ascending in a semi circle around it.
The Eye Boutique team had the perfect seats! They were seated on the second row and the row in front of them was empty for the whole time prior to the start of the show. Only seconds before the start of the show Karl Lagerfeld and his design team walked into the stage and sat right in front of them, scroll down to view the close up photo of Karl! How super cool is that?!
The show was closer to a performance. The models made into gothic farriers, with their hair pulled up in a loose and undone chignon. They entered in a trance, some drifting and some dancing down the stage. The prominent feature of the ensembles were off-the-shoulder dresses, 30’s style long night gowns with big prints, bell shape long gowns, and feather. The show ended with the controversial two brides entering hand-in-hand. This was followed by the launch of the Chanel Bijou eyewear collection, which you will be reading more about in my next post.
It is worth mentioning that The Eye Boutique will soon be opening their second flagship store in the avenues III.Now enjoy the photos.
Thank you S for sharing this lovely and memorable experience with me.
