I'm not sure if the red and pink bags on display at Bottega Veneta's boutique, located at 360 Mall, were part of a special Valentine's Day collection. But it surly gave that love-is-in-the-air kind of feeling. Plus I noticed that day that there were more male clients shopping for women's bags than usual. Let's just hope one of these gorgeous brightly colored bags will be neatly wrapped up for you on Valentine's day. Wishful thinking?
I spotted these heels by Zara the other day, they looked so... un-Zara. They actually looked quite nice! The heels have a combination of rose gold metallic leather, dusty peach suede, and black suede detail on the side. They kind of reminded me of Karl Lagerfeld's heels for net-a-porter with one side of the feet covered and the other side exposed. Not bad at all...
Although I'm not done yet with my S/S purchases and the wishlist is growing longer by the day, it doesn't hurt to feast my eyes on some lovely accessories designed by Canadian-based designer Abel Muñoz's for his A/W 2012 Collection.

Spotted these plain gold cuff bracelets at H&M the other day and I liked how minimal they looked. They'd beautifully accent sun-kissed wrists and would look fabulous worn with a monochromatic outfit or white summery dress. Price tag? I think around KD 3.300 each.

I got excited today when I received an e-mail from stylist Yousef Al Taher sharing with me photos of his latest fashion editorial which he has prepared for Khaleejesque magazine. According to Al Taher, the insperation behind a dream within ɯɐәɹp ɐ editorial is Edgar Allan Poe's famous poem "A Dream Within a Dream", first published in 1849. The poem questions the way one can distinguish between reality and fantasy, asking, "Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream?". Such a creative and captivating concept for a fashion editorial. And the images seem like they're gonna come to life! Beautiful. Kudos to YT!
Holly Williams of Symphony Boutique with Miroslava and Tommy Ton
And in Dubai, Miroslava Duma, former editor for Harper's Bazaar (Russia) and now a freelance writer for numerous publications, and Tommy Ton, a legendary street style photographer, jetted in to Dubai straight from Couture week to shoot S/S 2012 campaign for Dubai-based multi-brand luxury boutique Symphony.
And that;s not all, Symphony boutique hosted a charity dinner in support of Mira’s charity Peace Planet. The dinner was held in a private suite at Burj Khalifa,. Symphony, Peace Planet and Miroslave Duma selected three children in Russia who desperately require life-saving medical attention. The money raised at the dinner will go directly to help these children and Symphony have pledged to raise further funds for them for the entire SS12 period.
Sigh... that Chanel Russian doll bag! Heart!

Some major events attended by serious fashion heavy weights rocked our region over the past weekend! Let's start with Doha-based Toujouri Boutique Opening. The opening night was a fabulous affair, with local VIP’s and members of the international press were present such as street style icon Caroline Issa, from Tank Magazine, and Harriet Quick of Vogue UK magazine. The boutique is unique and a huge step forward for Qatar based Toujouri designer Lama El Moatassem, featured here in the first photo with Caroline Issa, as it has been designed by world famous fashion architect Peter Marino, who has designed boutiques for Louis Vuitton and Chanel world wide.

I spy with my little eye, shades of pink at Hermès boutique, located at Al Hamra Mall. Has the boutique been hit by the Valentine's bug already? Could be. And what's this I see? A mini Kelly croc clutch with diamonds encrusted lock that would set you back a whopping KD 15,500!! (that's around $55,586!!). OooK, moving on....
Hermès Lindy in a yummy shade of bubble gum pink. I think it was priced at KD 1,300. And it looked quite practical and light to carry.
This Hermès Constance candy rose H Logo Wallet is a more "affordable" option for guys looking for Valentine's day gift. Of course the term "affordable" here is in comparison to other items in store.
Hermès Jige crocodile clutch
Moving away from shades of pink to blues and oranges, I spotted these Hermès slippers on display, I'm personally not a fan of the slippers, but I liked their colors for the summer.

That cutie-cat-coyly-looking-over-his-shoulder print dress by VICTORIA Victoria Beckham was instantly added to my S/S wishlist the moment I saw the debut of the collection online. I loved how it added a sense of playfulness and humor to the simple silhouette.
I was thrilled to know that AlOthman Boutique, the first boutique in Kuwait set to carry this highly-acclaimed line, will be launching VICTORIA Victoria Beckham at AlOtman next week. The line will include a selection of deceptively simple chic dresses with girly details. Think scallop-edging, pretty pleats and adorable prints! Meow! Can't wait! And remember, you read it here first!
So if you've been following me on twitter, instgram, or tumblr, you'd probably know by now that I have been invited to an exclusive sneak peek of Alexander McQueen boutique, set to be open tonight at 6PM at Al Thurraya Complex in Salmiya.
As soon as I stepped inside the store, I instantly recognized Mcqueen's signature white covered interior you get to see when visiting the brand's boutique in any part of the world. Sleek and swank! I got the glow just from walking into this space! The first thing that struck my mind was how amazing it is that Alexander McQueen was and still is an inspirational figure. This is a man that knows how to make the garment fit impeccably. He designed accessories that stood the test of time. He created masterpieces on the runway shows. And he made us lust for skulls season after season. He IS fashion.
The boutique had a selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories that would make any die-hard McQueen fan floating high up on cloud number nine. Oh and that knuckleduster clutch!! love love love! Scroll down for some of my favorite pieces in store.
Surrounded by skulls... what's not to love!
Obsessed with these pretty pink pleats...
The skull-handled umbrella is certainly breathtaking!
A business card or a credit card mini wallet makes a perfect gift for a McQueen fan
Take your pick from the iconic skull printed silk chiffon scarves
Just in time for Valentines and Beyond? I LOVED this red hot dress strategically hung in between black and white clothes.
Check out the lovely stitching detail on these new McQueen bags
A big thank you goes to Alexander Mcqueen team for this amazing and exclusive opportunity, especially to Carol who took the time to show me around and patiently answered all of my questions with a warm welcoming smile.
